How Does the Exhibition Stand Design Process Work?
When you get in touch about your exhibition, our design consultants call you to discuss your requirements and brief. Some people come to us with a clear design idea, a stand space, and a strict budget; others have a more open brief.
Our in-house design consultants and CAD designers then utilise this information, alongside your public or provided resources, to create a design proposal.
This proposal is only an initial concept, rather than the final, official design. While it is provided with a visualisation of your branding, the aim is to show you what we can do before you decide if you would like to work with us.
If you opt to go ahead, we will work on finalising the structure with you. Our process is highly consultative, and we’re always happy to work on a design until it’s right. The stand may be shown with graphics to help you visualise, but again, we only need to finalise the structure before we send you a quote.
Once the structure is perfect, you move onto the artwork, with either your own designer, our in-house team, or our partner Channel Graphics.

You are actually finalising this: the structure, layout, lighting placement, showcase placement, mounted elements, etc.
Design Proposal FAQ's
Am I Allowed to Use the Design from the Initial Proposal?
Our clients often ask us if they are allowed to use the design that was initially presented.
If you love your initial design, or even just certain elements of it, you are absolutely welcome to use them when we move onto the artwork stage!
We have many clients who fall in love with their design proposal and make only minimal changes.
Equally, we have clients who opt for something quite different. Both are perfectly fine.
Are the Designs Technically Accurate?
Yes, even our initial renders are technically accurate, and drawn 100% to-scale. We begin with wireframe drawings and technical plans that are specific to our exhibiting solution. We only apply the graphic look once the technical plans have been approved by our CAD Manager.
Will my exhibition stand look like my render?
Yes, this is one of the key benefits of our design renders. Since they are technically accurate, your exhibition stand will look identical to your final design render. Here is an example:
Why You Should Look Past The Visuals
When putting your business out to tender, it’s natural to buy with your eyes. However, the initial visuals aren’t everything. As we’ve shown in this article, designs can change, and while they are important, you must also look at previous work, portfolios and credibility.
Our exhibition stand design renders are an accurate representation of our stands; however, we are unique in this sense. We have known exhibitors who, without proper research, chose the most visually appealing design only to discover on event day that the quality didn’t match the images.
That’s why it is also important to do your due diligence and look for trust signals.
Safety measures such as pre-builds and quality-checks should be non-negotiable. You should also ask to real life examples of similar work in comparison with initial renders.
