Today in pre-build at the Quadrant2Design studios in Poole, we welcomed Lauren Battie from 4C Strategies. Lauren joined us to quality-check the exhibition stand ahead of the International Security Expo.

The International Security Expo, taking place from the 24th until the 25th of September at Olympia, London, is the go-to event for leaders in the security industry.

Insights on the exhibition stand and system

Because the brand focuses on two different markets, 4C Strategies frequently participates in various exhibitions and customises its exhibition stand to appeal to the specific market. Quadrant2Design’s modular system is advantageous in this regard, as the company can make minor adjustments to the design and graphics to suit each market.

In the video, Lauren explains how the modular system has been beneficial to 4C Strategies:

“It’s important that we can switch out one panel here or there, which describes what we do, because in the two different spaces, it’s very different. So, this show that we’re using this stand for is the International Security Expo at Olympia in London, and then we have another show (DSEI) in December on our Defence side of business. And then next year we, I think, we’ll take this stand to Oslo for the show over there,” said Lauren.

She also explains how a versatile, modular stand is beneficial from a sustainability point of view:

“My biggest ‘bugbear’ with the shows is that there’s, obviously, a lot of waste, so it’s really important for me and for the company that we can reuse the materials and make sure we’re getting good use out the stand rather than just throwing it away constantly.”

Our client has decided to make some changes to their exhibition stand this season by adding new graphics and opting for a different reconfiguration. This gives the illusion of a completely new stand at a fraction of the price.

She says:

“It looks brand new. which is nice. I know a couple of the panels are new, but it looks fresh. Looks great. So normally, we would get a compact stand where it’s quite a bigger space, but everything’s quite attached. And this time, we’ve got it separated and we’ve got the four different walls, so it feels like we’re opening and being a bit more modern with it.”

Visiting Pre-Build

4C Strategies is well acquainted with Quadrant2Design’s pre-build policy, where we pre-build every stand before it goes to an exhibition. However, for the appeal of viewing the stand quality, the friendly atmosphere, and for stand inspiration, they never miss a visit:

“It’s a very friendly, nice, friendly environment to come into. […] Sometimes when you come into a warehouse, it can be a bit intimidating, but it’s not like that here. It’s nice, and also, it’s great to see the other stands to get inspiration for our own,” said Lauren.

Quadrant2Design invites all their clients to visit the showroom and pre-build studio to quality check their stand for themselves. Seeing the stand for the first time at the exhibition can be a disaster for the client. You have no idea if the stand will be as promised.
