Last month, we had the absolute honour of welcoming Carly and Sam from The Lexi May Trust to our headquarters in Poole. It was one of those visits that reminds us exactly why we offer this type of service to our amazing local charities. The day was filled with emotion and genuine excitement, and we couldn’t have been prouder to play a small part in their incredible journey.

The Story Behind Lexi May Trust

For those who may not yet know their story, The Lexi May Trust is a Dorset-based charity that supports families with children diagnosed with a terminal illness or life-limiting condition. The charity was founded by Carly and her family after her daughter, Lexi May, was diagnosed with DIPG and given just 9 to 12 months to live. Faced with the unimaginable, the family chose to focus on creating precious memories together. Through that experience, they saw how much practical and emotional support families in similar situations truly need. Out of love and community, The Lexi May Trust was created. It is a charity dedicated to helping families create lasting memories during the most difficult of times.

How the Collaboration Began

At Quadrant2Design, we regularly collaborate with local charities by providing complimentary custom roll-up banners to support their fundraising efforts. So on the surface, Carly and Sam’s visit may not have seemed unusual. However, this time we had something extra planned, and it was kept completely secret!

The idea began with our director, Andrew Carney, who signed up to do a charity boxing match created and run by boxing trainer Nic Bale, as a challenge to himself after his 60th birthday. Andrew chose to fundraise for the Lexi May Trust raising £1,355.00.

As Andrew and the team here at Quadrant2Design learned more about the work Carly and her sister Sam do locally we had the the idea to offer them some roll up banners to help them fundraise.

But there was more to come!  We found out about the amazing fundraising challenges and events hosted by the charity and thought these deserved the perfect backdrop!  We got in touch with Sam and introduced her to our design team who created a custom modular display stand for the Lexi May Trust.  Sam asked us to keep the stand donation a surprise for Carly…

A Moment We Will Never Forget

When we revealed the banners and the custom stand, the reaction in the room was incredibly emotional. Seeing how much it meant to Carly is something none of us will ever forget. It was a powerful reminder of not only the impact of having a display stand but also what it means to us here at Quadrant2Design to be able to provide this service to our local community and charities.

Looking Ahead

We are truly grateful that we were able to support The Lexi May Trust in this way. Our hope is that the new banners and display stand will help them continue raising awareness, hosting larger events and ultimately supporting even more families in need.
