Who, What, Where, and When

13th – 14th February 2019 – Sponge will be hosting a birthday bash like no other as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary at this year’s Learning Technologies exhibition and conference.

Sponge are the Learning Provider of the Year (according to the Learning and Performance Institute’s 2019 Learning Awards). The family-run company delivers seriously creative custom digital learning solutions that improve people and business performance.

You can catch Sponge UK on Stand D50 at Learning Technologies 2019 on the 13th – 14th February at ExCeL London.

At Learning Technologies

Learning Technologies, which boasts the title of Europe’s leading workplace learning exhibition, will see Sponge demo GDPR Sorted, its interactive off-the-shelf learning game, in the Demo Zone on the opening day of the show at 11:15.

The demo, hosted by Sponge GDPR specialist James Foster, will allow delegates to play the game for themselves and discover how familiar gaming mechanics help embed good decision making around the regulation. This will come as excellent news to exhibition visitors that are keen to understand the important role gaming plays in learning, particularly for training around dry topics like compliance. With digital learning becoming increasingly popular in today’s workplace, Sponge expects a good deal of interest in the demo.

Delegates will have the opportunity to don a headset and try the company’s Royal Mail VR dog safety awareness training, as well as testing their knowledge of the past 15 years of learning in Sponge’s timeline game, designed exclusively for the show.

Celebrations and Seminars

The celebrations don’t stop there; to mark 15 years of learning, Sponge will be hosting a free seminar from 12:30-13:00 in Theatre 4 on both days of the show.

The company’s Chief Innovation Officer Kate Pasterfield will discuss the topic of ‘Shaping futures: how to engage tomorrow’s ‘foraging learner’ using insights from our past’. The seminar will explore what the impact of consumer technology past, present and future continues to have on learners and learning. This will be such a fitting theme for a company hitting a milestone.

Not only can visitors expect demos and seminars from Sponge, but they will also be greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable team, handing out 15th birthday party bags, along with learning advice to help solve an array of people and business challenges.

Party in Style

In order to go the extra mile in toasting their 15th year, Sponge has commissioned the services of exhibition stand design experts Quadrant2Design. The company’s stand will contain an array of fantastic features. This will include one of Quadrant2Design’s very own innovations – backlit rotating headers.

Commenting on the Poole-based company’s design, Katherine Archer from Sponge’s marketing department said “We’re looking forward to wowing delegates with the new stand, which features our new logo and brand imagery” – definitely one to look out for.
