Exhibition Stand Design at The Baby Show

The Baby Show is a huge indoor marketplace for new and expectant parents. It brings together over 300 major brands and independent boutiques, featuring hands-on pram testing, live parenting talks, and exclusive discounts.

This show offers a unique opportunity to connect with parents actively seeking the safest nursery gear, parenting essentials, and family services. This means that the conversations move beyond casual interest into genuine, trusted connections.

Accessibility is important at this event, as the audience includes many heavily pregnant mothers, prams and young children. When designing a stand, keep these factors in mind:

  • Clear the floor – The Baby Show is unique as it’s very buggy-heavy. Because of this, it’s important to keep stands as open and clear as possible. Say no to any raised platforms or steps which create dangerous tripping hazards and mount products where possible to maximise space.
  • Adjust Taglines – Position core messaging, branding and taglines high-up on your back walls to ensure they remain readable in the crowded hall.
  • Consider Comfort – If you are demonstrating or showcasing products, consider implementing comfortable seating for expectant mothers.

One thing that’s worth bearing in mind is that many parents won’t just be looking for functionality. They also want sleek, aesthetic design options that fit their lifestyle. If you space on your stand, it can be beneficial to bring a wide selection of fabrics, colours and models, and if you’re tight on space, consider using interactive screens to show your full range.

Everybody at the shows, everybody, says our stand is by far the best and that they absolutely love it and I can say that hands down. Even the other brands that are there come up to us and say how fantastic our stand is. It really does stand out amongst everybody else at the expo.

Free-Hire Pro is the plan of choice among our exhibitors at The Baby Show.

Using Free-Hire Pro, the structural framework of your stand is hired free of charge, allowing you to invest in what matters: your graphics and the end-to-end service that makes exhibiting completely stress-free.

Because our solution is modular, you can reconfigure, reuse and repeat at shows and venues all across the UK and Europe.

Transport

  • Public Transport

London Olympia is well-connected by tube, Overground and bus. There are several bus stops just a short walk from the venue, and three tube stations  within easy reach: West Kensington (a 4-minute bus ride or 12-minute walk), Barons Court (a 9-minute walk), and Hammersmith (5 minutes by bus or a pleasant 15-minute walk). For the Overground, Kensington (Olympia) station is served by the Mildmay Line and Southern Rail.

  • Parking

There is parking available at Olympia, however, you must pre-book online, as spaces are limited. There is an option to pay on the day, however these spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis so are not guaranteed. Alternatively, there is off-site parking available in the local area.

  • International Travel

London Heathrow Airport is the closest major international airport to Olympia London. There are great transport links between the airport and venue.

Accommodation

  • Hyatt Regency London Olympia

A hotel on the Olympia site, linked to the event spaces. About as convenient as it gets for early starts and long show days.

  • citizenM London Olympia

Based inside Olympia National Hall, so you’re already at the venue. A good fit if you want to stay on site.

  • Premier Inn London Kensington (Olympia)

A cost-friendly option close to Earl’s Court station, around a 15 minute walk from Olympia.

Food & Drink

  • Pizza Express

Pizza Express is our favourite place to decompress and relax after a long show day. Leave the chaos behind and enjoy some good pizza and pasta.

  • Idalia Restaurant

If you want somewhere a little closer, Idalia is right on site, so you don’t even need to leave the venue after a long show day. Enjoy refined British classics and great steaks.

  • Wolves of Tokyo

Also located on-site, Wolves of Tokyo is a moody, “Japan-noir” rooftop bar and kitchen hidden within the new Olympia development. It features an impressive aesthetic with great views, ideal for post-event celebratory drinks and dinner.
