This week, we are excited to share a case study on reuse with one of our long-standing clients, Firechief Global. This video was filmed at the heart of The Resource Waste Management Show 2025, one of the UK’s most eco-conscious exhibitions.
The Resource Waste Management Show 2025
The Resource Waste Management Show is the UK’s premier event for recycling, resource, waste, and environmental services industries. The event brings together innovators and drivers from across the industry to share cutting-edge solutions and technologies.
Firechief Global
Firechief Global is the UK’s fastest-growing fire-safety company, and a trusted name for fire extinguishers and blankets.
Over the past two years, we have been able to work with Firechief Global at many different events, and at each one, sustainability has been a key consideration. Firechief is on its journey to reach net zero. By using reusable, modular stands, the team is able to exhibit at many events without generating any disposable waste.
This genuine eco-awareness carries through into their cutting-edge products. Firechief has not only been raising awareness of the dangers of lithium-ion batteries, one of the fastest-growing fire risks, but has also innovated to create new, sustainable and safe methods for disposing of products like phones and vapes, which contain them.
A Case Study in Reuse and Reconfiguration
In the following case study, Alison Tully, the Academy & Events Manager at Firechief Global, reflected on the importance of sustainability and the process of adapting one exhibition stand to cater to many different industries.
How do You Adapt Your Stand to Different Industries?
Firechief exhibits at a wealth of shows, including The Safety & Security Event Series, Resource Waste Management Show, and Anticipate 2025. To do this, without creating a brand new stand each time, Firechief uses one reusable exhibition stand with a larger repertoire of panels that tailor the messaging to different industries.
In conversation with Maggie, Alison shared insight into the process.
Alison and her team start by considering the event, target audience, and products that Firechief would like to display. From here, she discusses her requirements with the design consultant, who explains which elements can be reused and determines whether the team requires anything new.
Here, we're talking to the waste show. It's the same products, but we flex the message so we're attracting the right people and what they're interested in. For example, today the large graphic is of a waste lorry over there because we know people will resonate with that. Whereas, at the fire show, we would focus on more firefighting-type images.
It is reconfigurability that gives Firechief the freedom to exhibit across these industries. With a modular stand, elements can be rearranged to suit different stand sizes, configurations, and even target different sectors.
How Does Your Reusable Stand Compare to Other Exhibiting Models?
Prior to using Quadrant2Design, Firechief often opted for shell scheme solutions. One of the difficulties the company faced using this solution was that each part of the installation, the graphics, TVs, electrics and furniture, was reliant on separate contactors, slowing down the entire setup process.
Alison shared:
Before we started working with Quadrant, we used shell schemes. There was always a risk, and it's happened to me a number of times, where you get onto the site, and your graphics aren't actually up yet; therefore, the television can't go up yet, the lights can't go up, and everything just slows right down, and you can't get anything done.
To arrive and go, it's all there, I just need to lay the products out, is brilliant for me.
With Quadrant2Design, all of the uncertainty is removed, and the team can arrive confident that the stand will be set up, beautifully finished on time.
Yesterday, when I arrived at 2:00, the stand was built, it looked fantastic, it was just being finished off, and I literally walked in, went "yeah that's fantastic", signed everything off - done.
That's the beauty of the this. It's all beautifully done.
What was One Lesson You Learned At the Exhibitions?
Alison has now experienced many different events in various sectors. As a final takeaway, we asked her to share one thing she’s learned about exhibiting.
And she shared… Build tall! The taller the exhibition stand, the better! These stands are more visible in the hall and garner more attention from guests. This is particularly important when in a space back-to-back with a competitor, as you never want them to be taller than you.
Reconfiguring for 2026
That’s all from the Resource Waste Management Show 2025! We had a wonderful time speaking with Alison, and cannot wait to reconfigure the stand yet again for the 2026 exhibitions.
