How to Reconfigure your Exhibition Stand for Multiple Shows

Reconfigurable exhibition stands are changing the game. If you’re exhibiting at many shows throughout an exhibition calendar, the stand space you have booked will likely be a different shape or size each time. With the exhibition industry’s traditional “build and burn” methodology, this has typically meant purchasing a new exhibition stand for each show. Not only is this costly and wasteful, leaning into an endemic fault in the industry, but it also adds completely unnecessary hassle and stress for each show.

The exhibition experience is very different when you use a modular, reconfigurable exhibition stand. Gone are the days of throwing company money down the drain for every single show. Modular stands are an investment; completely reusable and reconfigurable, and highly adaptable for any stand space.

As we mentioned previously, modular exhibition stands are reusable and reconfigurable. The word “modular” refers to the fact that the exhibition stand systems are made from many separate components. “Reconfigurable” refers to the fact that the exhibition stand can be rearranged to suit completely different stand spaces and sizes. Each of these pieces is completely reusable, for sustainable yet high-impact exhibiting. 

You might be wondering, what about the stand structure?

Customers are able to reconfigure their stands when the stand has been purchased. However, with our Free-Hire Plan exhibitors invest in their graphic panels, and hire the stand structure free of charge. This plan offers value for money, as you only buy what you need when you need it. You will never have to worry about additional costs for the stand structure. So how does it work? Though reconfigurations can be decided following the first stand design, ideally we would work with your full exhibition calendar. 

We design strategically, to ensure that you exhibit as economically as possible, without sacrificing impact. Design consultants will often ask for your largest stand configuration yet. This gives you all of the necessary exhibition stand panels for future configurations. Designing the largest first does not mean purchasing all of these graphics in one go, unless, of course, it is your first show. But what it does mean, is that you can have a plan for the year, detailing which panels you will need, and when.

If you research modular exhibition stands, you will find that exhibition contractors use a specific, sometimes unique, stand system. This system contributes to the stand’s overall weight, ease of build, capability, quality, and finish. Though many stands are referred to as reconfigurable, the quality of the system is the real determiner of its capabilities. 

For example, some stands have two positions they can flip between, and this is the extent of their modularity.
