Foodex Show 2019

The UK’s premier trade event for food and drink, Foodex 2018, opened its doors on Monday to an expected 30,000 visitors over 3 days. The five shows covered the entire UK food supply chain and included unmissable live events, thought-provoking speakers and a whole bunch of delicious free food and drink! The Quadrant2Design team travelled to NEC Birmingham to meet with 12 clients exhibiting at the show. Here’s how we got on!

In March we popped together a list of the biggest food and drink trade shows in 2018, and of course, Foodex 2018 made the cut! Housing five UK shows all under one roof, Foodex, The Ingredients Show, National Convenience Show, Farm Shop & Deli Show and the Food & Drink Expo itself offers an unparalleled meeting point for the food and drink community.

Our 12 clients at the trade show were an eclectic mix, boasting payment solutions for convenience stores, manufacturing processes and food and drink goods. Two clients, Barber’s Farmhouse Cheeses and Sanderson Ltd, self-built their exhibition stand and reported how easy they have found the process across their entire events programme.

As well as happy self-build clients, we also met with 10 clients that our installation team worked with to ensure their exhibition stand was 100% show-ready for Monday. One of these clients was Empire Bespoke Foods who hosted live cooking sessions throughout the entire event with Chef, Sebby Holmes. He invited our Project Manager Hannah onto the exhibition stand to cook with their brand new range, Thai Taste… and, it was delicious!

As exhibition stand design and build specialists, it’s important for our team to visit exhibitions to see the finished product live at a show and we were excited to visit Foodex 2018. It gives our team a great sense of accomplishment to see our stands in their natural habitat, as well as the opportunity to meet with our clients face-to-face!
