Quadrant2Design welcome a new addition to their team: Introducing Pip the pug!
We love dogs. And yes everyone says that. But we really love dogs. That may sound like someone’s bio on a dodgy dating app, but we’ve got all the four-legged friends we need to prove our point. I mean, take a look at our mascot. That’s a Saint Bernard you know. And if you’ve ever come to see us you know just how mad on dogs we all are.
Office Dogs gone Wild
If you’ve been keeping up with us on social media you’ll have seen Benny and Ragzi running riot around our design studio and factory. They get up to all sorts of trouble but the whole team love them. They caused chaos at our Christmas party, but we really wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now we have a new addition to the four-legged crew. Pip the pug joined Quadrant2Design in February. She immediately took to the team, taking pride of place with her bed in the middle of the office. It wasn’t long before she had us all wrapped around her paw, even insisting on exclusive lunches of smashed avocado on toast.
The trio hit it off right away. Pip quickly assumed her position as leader of the pack and the boys run around after her as if she were royalty. Pip the pug does get the princess treatment. She has her own sofa and gets to sit on Alan’s lap whenever important meetings are taking place. But what is it about dogs that get the Quadrant2Design team so giddy?
Meet Wilhelm, Our Mascot
If you’ve has a look at our website or come to see us at our design studio and factory then you’ll know all about Wilhelm. Wilhelm is our mascot and surprise surprise, he’s a dog. Not just any dog. Wilhelm is a Saint Bernard.
But why a Saint Bernard I hear you ask? Well, the Saint Bernard is a Swiss breed of dog famous for being strong, versatile and reliable. The breed was famously used as farm dogs. Their size made them the perfect animal for herding and protecting their families in the rocky, mountainous regions between Switzerland and Italy.
The History of Saint Bernard’s
It was the monks at St. Bernards Hospice, on St. Bernards Pass, who first recorded this lovable breed of dog. This path was notoriously dangerous, with travellers often getting lost and going missing. It was then that the monk’s discovered how good Saint Bernard’s were at tracking and rescuing lost travellers.
The Saint Bernard earned its reputation as a versatile, reliable and strong animal to have around. All you have to do is look at their adorable, massive fluffy faces and you’ll fall in love with this breed of dog. Definitely a pet worth considering. But we love them for another reason.
The Prestige Events System
The Prestige Events System, of which we have exclusivity in the UK, is a Swiss design. The design is 100% reusable and reconfigurable. So it shares the Saint Bernards versatility.
The framework is lightweight but strong. It is easy to integrate product showcases and audiovisual elements in every exhibition stand we design and build. And the strength of each component makes it fiercely reliable. The framework elements have a 15-year life span, so you can exhibit with your stand time and time again.
Just like the Saint Bernard, the Prestige Events System is versatile, strong and reliable. What else would you expect from expert Swiss design?
Pip the Pug
So now you know why we are all so dog crazy at Quadrant2Design. In fact, we don’t think you could ever have too many office dogs! Pip may be the princess, but we’ve got a lot of love for our four-legged friends. And a lot of stories to share with you about them.
We’ll keep you updated on all the mischief the three musketeers get up to. The best place to keep up with all of the gossip is over on our social media. Until then, thank you for joining us to welcome Pip into our pack.
