Quadrant2Design have recently supported Atlantic Fusion’s mission to raise awareness about Abbie’s Army.

Quadrant2Design support Atlantic Fusion with charity banners

‘Atlantic Fusion’ is a rowing group made up of 2 genders, from 2 generations, from 2 rowing clubs.

The rowing enthusiasts are currently working to raise awareness and valuable funds for Abbie’s Army. Abbie’s Army raises money for medical research and supports families who have children with brain cancer. They plan to raise awareness by competing in the “World’s Toughest Row Atlantic”- A trip that would break rowing world records. The team will row 24 hours a day in 3-hour shifts, for over 5 weeks, covering over 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera to Antigua. At the same time, they will be raising awareness for the fantastic charity.

Abbie’s Army is a children’s DIPG brain tumour research charity, founded in loving memory of Abbie. DIPG currently affects around 40 children a year in the UK. Valuable research efforts on DIPG are largely coming from parent-led charities and advocacy groups. Currently, there is no direct government funding, and there is insufficient research from larger charities. Since the charity relies on donations, raising awareness on their cause is crucial.

To reach the starting line of the competition,  Atlantic Fusion need to raise £120,000. So, in support of both Atlantic Fusion and Abbie’s Army, Quadrant2Design have donated two charity banners to support their fundraising. We would also like to wish the team the best of luck with their training.

Bel, a part of the inspirational team, just visited our Poole Headquarters to share her story with us. Watch this space for updates!
