The wait is over! Automechanika Birmingham, the UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production sector, took place from the 3rd to the 5th of June at the NEC Birmingham.
We were thrilled to attend this prestigious event, where we interviewed exhibitors and heard first-hand about the value of this excellent platform. In the video, you can enjoy exclusive interviews from the show. We met up with the teams at Garage Hive, The Garage Equipment Association, InterCars and Global Wheels.
About Automechanika 2025
Automechanika is a biennial show in the UK, but there are editions across the globe! The flagship event is held in Frankfurt, Germany, though Automechanika is also held in Dubai, Turkey, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and South Africa!
Automechanika unites businesses in the automotive service and repair sector to showcase products, network, and learn about the latest trends and technologies.
What did Exhibitors Think?
We were able to interview a range of Quadrant2Design clients at Automechanika, all of whom spoke highly of the Birmingham edition. Let’s get into all the details –
The Show
Firstly, it was great to hear that Automechanika Birmingham was thriving. Visitors and Exhibitors spoke of growing, valuable footfall and lead generation opportunities. And, many mentioned the ever increasing size and scope of the event.
I would say that Automechanika has grown at least double the size of the show I first attended!
Kitty Rulle, Garage HiveI would say that Automechanika has been a really good show this year. It's got more footfall than other years.
Julian Woods, Garage Equipment AssociationAutomechanika UK is the principle garage and factor show.
Dan O'Brien, Intercars UKExhibition Stand Design
The platform at this event was outstanding, and was long-awaited as a biennial event; however, exhibitors also credited a lot of their success to their exhibition stands. Each business in this video used a Quadrant2Design modular exhibition stand, which can be reconfigured to suit various stand spaces or sizes.
Garage Equipment Association

The Garage Equipment Association ensures that its members can provide the best Garage Equipment and services to the automotive aftermarket. We had the pleasure of interviewing CEO, Juilan Woods, who reflected on the value of his Quadrant2Design exhibition stand.
Having the new stand has been really good, because in other years we've had just a booth and pop-ups. Having a proper professional stand has made a big difference. Definitely worth the investment. It just stands out!
Here at Quadrant2Design, our exhibition stands are designed to create a point of difference to capture the attention of guests. Julian touched on the Quadrant2Design photo-floor, which completes the graphic landscape, and the backlit graphic, which drew attention to members.
GEA were celebrating a significant milestone at Automechanika, so their stand was even more important than usual. Take a look at their pre-build video, where they checked the stand built in full, before the show, at our premises in Poole.
Global Wheels

Next up was Manni Bansal, Managing Director of Global Wheels, UK manufacturers of the highest quality, lightweight, race-inspired and engineered monoblock, forged alloy wheels.
Like Julian, Manni emphasised the fundamental role of the exhibition stand in achieving goals at Automechanika. Particularly, in creating a distinctive and memorable branded space, with clear colour schemes and messaging.
I think the stand has helped in delivering our message. With the colour scheme that we've used and the design of the stand and openness of the stand. I think those combined efforts have really helped deliver our message.
GarageHive
GarageHive is a community-driven, cloud-based garage management system, powered by Microsoft.
We caught up with Kitty Rulle, the Administration and Marketing Manager at Garage Hive, who touched on brand representation at the event.
This is our favourite stand - it definitely represents our brand well. We try to be very transparent, no fluff, just straight to the point. Our favourite part of the stand is the moving bit with the logo, because everyone loves it and everyone comes here to say they can see it from far in the distance!
InterCars
InterCars is a major European importer and distributor of automotive spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, as well as garage equipment.
We had a lovely catch-up with Dan O’ Brien, who touched on the exhibition stand.
I am happy with the stand. I have had the privilege of working with you before with a previous company, and it was a recommendation from myself to say that these guys create really positive imagery!
Brand Consistency Across Automechanika Events
Reusability was a key topic at this event, as exhibitors discussed plans for future reconfigurations. Where many companies use a custom-built exhibition stand, which is used for two or three days before heading to landfills, modular exhibition stands can be used time and time again, across a wide range of events.
This brings invaluable benefits, such as flexibility, cost savings and brand consistency at events all across Europe. Gone are the days of having mismatched, jumble-sale stands. By reusing panels, our clients can now have consistent visuals at Automechanika Frankfurt and Birmingham.
In Summary
It is clear that Automechanika is an outstanding event for exhibitors and visitors alike. We loved attending this show and catching up with many of our clients, who praised the impact of their exhibition stands and the event platform.
