To ensure the high quality of every one of our exhibition stands, Quadrant2Design conducts a 72-point check. Checks include*, but are not limited to the following:
- Design Brief Evaluation – The brief provided by the Design Consultants is reviewed to ensure it is detailed and comprehensive. This ensures that initial renders meet the client’s vision and are fit for purpose.
- Structural Integrity & Safety – A CAD manager checks the structural integrity and safety of a stand at every stage.
- No Limits on Design Iterations – Clients are shown renders and/ or CAD plans at every stage of the design and are asked for approval.
- Artwork Quality Initial Check – Quadrant2Design Artworkers assess artwork asset quality and resolution before transitioning from small-format to large-format print.
- Photo Resolution Optimisation – Resolution checks are run on photography and images are optimised where necessary to achieve high clarity.
- Render Precision Check – Renders are checked by a Senior CAD Modeller for precision and accuracy to ensure the full-scale project is to the expected proportions.
- Client Feedback Review – Client feedback is retained and reviewed at every step of the decision-making process.
- Panel Number & Size Verification – Graphic Designers check all panel numbers and sizes to ensure every component is accounted for in the final production.
- Cut Panel & Aperture Verification – Graphic Designers check that cut panels and apertures are present and accurate to ensure perfect panel alignment.
- Copy Spell-Check – All copy is spell-checked before moving to printing & production.
- Brand Guideline Check – Brand fonts, typographic style, and colours are followed and checked by a Senior Artworker in consultation with the brand’s marketing department.
- Colour Accuracy Check – All colours are checked for accuracy – Pantones are converted to CMYUK unless colour-matching, and sign-off is always required.
- Final Artwork Check – Final artwork designs and 3D renders are reviewed by Design Consultants, CAD Designers, Graphic Designers and Senior Management before moving to print & production.
- Test Printing of Panel Plans – Test prints are mandatory at ¼ size. Prints are displayed and assessed by the Graphic Designers and the Print Supervisor.
- Test Print Comparison – Test prints are compared against the original artwork files created by the Graphic Designer. A second Graphic Designer independently completes the same check for added accuracy.
- Colour Consistency Check – Colour consistency is assessed across all panels and signed off.
- Bleed Check – Bleed is checked throughout all test prints.
- Colour Matching Examination – Colour-matching is test-printed and examined on panel media, including Pantone matching, and is visually compared. Swatches can be sent for client sign-off.
- Panel Plan Review – CAD and Manufacturing Managers review panel plans for accuracy.
- Image Resolution Check – Artwork image resolution is checked at 400% to confirm quality standards are met.
- Final Artwork Check – Before print and production start, artwork approval must be granted by both the client and CAD and Manufacturing Managers.
- Feature Plan Checks – Feature plans are checked by a CAD or Manufacturing Manager to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Electric Plan Checks – A CAD and Manufacturing Manager checks electric plans to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Show Works Plan Checks – Show works structural plans are checked by a CAD Manager to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Picking List Check – Picking lists are checked by the senior CAD Manager to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Production Review – Senior CAD and Manufacturing Managers and the responsible exhibition stand designer conduct a verbal handover and walkthrough with the Production Manager to review the work once more.
- Printer Calibration Checks – Once a week, printer calibration is assessed to ensure an accurate colour profile across all projects.
- Daily Printer Cleaning – Printers are cleaned and checked for faults and a maintenance log is updated.
- Zund Cutter Blade Tests – Zund Cutters blade length is checked and a “clean-edge” test cut is performed daily.
- Equipment Service & Maintenance Plans – Print and manufacturing equipment is routinely checked and serviced by the manufacturer.
- Router Media Change Log – Router media changes and the associated part changes are logged and reviewed before the next use.
- Manufacturing Equipment Initialised Daily – Routers, Zund cutters and Laser Engravers are initialised every morning.
- Equipment Cleaning Schedule – Laser beds, filters, lenses, vents and ink residue are cleaned and logged on a set schedule.
- PAT Testing – All stand and equipment electrics are routinely PAT tested.
- Risk Management & Profile Assessment – A comprehensive risk assessment is conducted for each client, including notes on additional requirements to avoid potential complications during the project.
- Project Handover – A face-to-face handover is conducted between the Design Consultant and Project Manager to ensure all information is passed on accurately. This is recorded for reference.
- Show Organiser Checks – Project Managers confirm stand dimensions, allocated space, services and ducting with the exhibition organiser.
- Show Manual & Venue Legislation Assessment – Project Managers confirm specific regulations in a report to the Operations Manager.
- Project Timeline & Alerts – A timeline is created with hard deadlines – checked by a Senior Project Manager & Operations Manager. Clients are provided with a Gannt Chart via a link detailing the live project roadmap and key dates.
- Client Machinery & Equipment Action Plan – Client machinery is accommodated into electric plans and venue paperwork. Action plan shared and approved by the client, CAD department and Operations Manager.
- Daily Project Manager Meeting – Additional expertise is made available by the Operations Manager and/ or a Director for high-risk elements. Post-meeting action plans are shared and tracked.
- Operation Manager Electrical Plan Checks – All electrical plans must pass a check by the Operations Manager, and their signature must be added to the paperwork.
- The Pre-Build – The pre-build is the ultimate quality check. Stands are built in full, exactly as they will be on the show.
- Infrastructure Checks – The condition of the framework, features, showcases, curtains, and electrics are all checked by an Installer, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Production Manager.
- Graphic Panel Checks – The condition of the graphic panels is checked by an Installer Project Manager, Operations Manager, Graphic Designer and Print & Finishing Supervisor.
- Pre-build Area Layout Approval – Before a stand can be pre-built, the area is separated using temporary walling and the stand build area is marked. The rule is that everything within the walls must go to the exhibition.
- Assembled Infrastructure & Graphics Checks – All infrastructural components and graphics, assembled in the pre-build area, are checked against the picking list.
- Photo-Floor Inspection – Photo-Floors are laid, measured and checked for marks and damages.
- Pre-Build Inspection No.1 – Once built, every detail of the stand is inspected by Project Management, Graphic Designers, CAD & Manufacturing Managers and the Operations Manager. Checked areas include: panel alignment, colour accuracy, colour-matching, electrics and lighting, magnetic polarity, copy and spelling, dimensions & orientation, animated features, hardware and graphic cleanliness, un-creased curtains and curtain length, photo-floor alignment, print accuracy & condition.
- Pre-Build Inspection No.2 – Clients are invited to thoroughly inspect the stand for themselves. If they cannot attend, Project Managers send high-quality images and footage to allow them to quality-check the stand.
- Inventory – Project Managers supervise the Installer count and track every item into numbered cases.
- Transit-to-Bay Check – The Project Manager supervises the transit of all cases from the pre-build area to the secure holding bay. The bay is secured until installation day.
- The Holding Cage – Between pre-build and installation, all stands are stored in a designated bay, within a secure holding cage. Access to the cage requires Senior Management approval.
- Final Bay Check – 48 hours before the stand is dispatched, the Project Managers conduct a final bay check where all cases are recounted.
- Driver Appraisals – Before the Installer can transport the stands, they are required to pass an in-house driver appraisal.
- Vehicle Service Checks – Vehicle condition is checked weekly, and all vehicles are professionally serviced regularly.
- Logistic Security – All vans are secured with alarms and tracking for additional security and these are checked before every journey.
- Additional Logistic Security – Exhibition stands are never left in the vans overnight and loading occurs just before driving.
- Journey Planning – Before every event, Project Managers thoroughly check the routes for disruptions and delays and always have a contingency plan and sufficient buffer time.
- Dispatch Board Check – Project Managers create a dispatch board with client name, show, venue, bay number, case count, van assignment, ladder requirements, PPE, and designated loader and driver. Installers check and sign this before an event.
- Installer Equipment – Before leaving HQ, Installers must confirm they have a fully stocked stand cleaning kit including steamers, shoe covers and floor covers.
- Hazard Tape Check – Installers check that the stand is securely blocked from unauthorised personnel using hazard tape.
- Event Day Stand Check 1 – Installers completely check the stand for finish quality. A stand condition form is filled in.
- Event Day Stand Check 2 – Stands are photographed, upon completion and checked by the Project Manager.
- Event Day Stand Check 3 – When the stand is finalised, clients complete a form to confirm their satisfaction and indicate whether any last-minute changes are necessary. This is checked by the Installer and Project Manager.
- Post-show Condition Check – After the show, another stand condition form is filled in by the Installer to appraise the quality. This is logged by the Project Manager.
- Dismantle Case Check – Upon dismantling, all items are handled with care and are counted into numbered cases. These cases are then recounted before transit.
- Stand Return Count – Once returned to our separate returning facility, graphics are separated from infrastructure and are re-logged.
- Bespoke Item Security – Bespoke items are checked into HQ and are logged.
- Secure Storage Facility – Stock Check-In – All graphic panels are checked into the secure storage facility.
- Storage Condition Check Temperature – The secure storage facility is temperature-controlled to maintain the quality of graphics. Temperature checks are conducted weekly.
- Storage Unit Security Check – The secure storage facility is armed with alarms. These are tested weekly for security.
