Working at Quadrant2Design | Glass Door Review | Hannah Nguyen

I work as a Project Director, which means I manage our existing accounts and liaise with clients to see if we can help them with their stand, whether it be a new design or quotation.

I first started here as a Project Manager for my placement year and given the opportunity I returned after University.

I like how I can work with real clients from a range of industries, being able to have responsibility and to really bring a product to life.

Since I studied Marketing at Uni I appreciate being in a creative environment, where we can bounce ideas back and forth.

Seamless Textures Are All Part of The Package from Quadrant2Design

Having moved from Vietnam when I was 18 with about 4 months of English lessons, things were difficult. It didn’t help that I learnt American English, I couldn’t understand anyone! But I always knew that I wanted to get out and explore the world. 6 years on, I’ve become near enough fluent in English, although I’m still learning a new word or expression every now and again.

That’s why if I had to swap jobs with anyone in the company it would be with our MD Alan. He’s lived all over the world and to top it off is very successful in business. I would love to own my own business one day, it won’t be easy but having the chance to work with Alan inspires me.

It’s definitely important to have a work life balance, I still regret not taking the chance to bungee jump in Dubai, for now though I’ll stick to going to the gym when I can.

  • Tell us a bit about your role here at Quadrant2Design

I work as a Project Director, which means I manage our existing accounts and liaise with clients to see if we can help them with their stand, whether it be a new design or quotation. I first started here as a Project Manager for my placement year and given the opportunity I returned after University. My job now means that I can to know the client, have a chat with them and build a relationship.

  • What’s the best thing about working at Q2D?

The people are definitely the best thing. Everything is so lovely and I like the job as well because we are in a creative environment.

  • What’s your biggest achievement to date- personal or professional?

Moving to the UK for University when I was 18 with only 4 months of English lessons behind me.

  • If you had to swap jobs with anyone else in the company who would it be and why?

I want to be Alan. As a person I want to own my own business one day as well. It’s not easy managing a business, especially with the amount of people here. You have to know everything, every sector of the business.

  • When you’re not working what can you be found doing?

Travelling! I love travelling, it’s definitely the first thing I do. Other than that I like going to the gym and keeping fit.

  • Tell us something that we don’t know

I do regret not bungee jumping in Dubai last year. I had my mum tell me I was going to die. It put me off slightly.

  • Coffee or tea?

Oh I like them both. like coffee but I know it’s not good for me so I do try to drink tea as well.
