Exhibition stand design and build services in Kensington, Olympia and the Greater London area.

One of London’s Busiest Exhibition Venues

As the oldest exhibition centre in Europe, Olympia London has had a rich history of hosting trade shows, expos and events – ever since it opened its doors back in 1886.

Over 130 years of holding events for industries of any nature, combined with its impressive Victorian architecture, make Olympia London a truly unique venue and dramatic setting for any exhibition.  Its iconic glass arch ceiling makes the exhibition venue famous for its natural daylight and ambience.

Located in Kensington, in the heart of the capital, Olympia London is within a two-mile radius of over 230 hotels. It is also within walking distance of over 70 restaurants, including some of the most stylish and upmarket eateries in the capital – perfect places to go “off-piste” and take clients or business partners for a meal.

With over 200 events a year taking place, there’s something for everyone at Olympia London.

Travelling to Olympia London

With 5 underground lines, 8 bus routes and its very own overground train station, Olympia London can proudly claim to be one of the best connected venues in the city for public transport.

If you’re traveling by train then you will simply need to head to Kensington Olympia, which is on the London Overground network. Kensington Olympia can also be accessed by the Tube on the District Line, but beware . . .  this service only runs on weekends.

Other nearby tube stations within walking distance include: Baron’s Court, Hammersmith Station and High Street Kensington. There are also frequent bus services to the stops near the venue from routes connecting visitors to Victoria, Oxford Circus, Paddington and Charing Cross.

With Heathrow, Stanstead, City Airport and Gatwick all less than one hour away by public transport, the venue is easy to get to from anywhere in the world.

Although it is certainly quicker to get to London Olympia by train or bus, we understand you may need to drive there. If you are taking the car, the postcode for your satnav is: W14 8UX.

Over 130 Years of History

The story of Olympia London started in 1884 when the National Agricultural Hall Company built the venue to showcase agricultural displays and military tournaments.

The Olympia London officially opened its doors to the public on Boxing Day 1886, when members of the public turned up to see the Hippodrome Circus. Since then the venue has hosted several famous exhibitions and shows.

The venue hosted the world’s very first Ideal Home Show in 1908. This makes the show one of the world’s longest-running exhibitions – and they are back at Olympia London again this year.

In 1958, Olympia London had the honour of hosting the world’s very first computer exhibition, when The British Computer Exhibition opened on November 28th.

Although in more recent years, the venue has seen more competition for exhibitions and events in the capital, a £40 million redevelopment in 2013 saw the venue completely renovated. After a brand re-launch the following year, London Olympia was awarded the Best Marketing Campaign at the Exhibition News Awards in 2014.
