Exhibition stand design and build services at The Messe Stuttgart and venues in Germany.
In the heart of Europe
With 1.3 million visitors and over 70 events every year, Messe Stuttgart is not only one of the largest exhibition venues in Germany but is a well-established hub for entrepreneurs and market leaders across Europe.
Located in the beautiful capital city of Baden-Württemberg, bang in the heart of central Europe, with excellent transport connections, it is easy to see why so many businesses choose this venue for exhibitions and events.
Messe Stuttgart offers a combined area of 105,200 sq. metres across its seven halls – measuring 10,500 sq. metres each – and proudly hosts events across many different industries.
One of the most striking features of the venue is its pointed glass roof entrance and its horizontal shading, which is made up of 80 textile covered slats, which can be turned 90 degrees on its axis.
This is not just about the aesthetics though. Messe Stuttgart has established a reputation as one of Europe’s greenest exhibition venues, and the building’s unique roof has been designed specifically to give the venue an eco-friendly controlled climate.
Speaking of green . . . the city itself boasts a large number of green spaces and is close to the stunning Black Forest, making Messe Stuttgart a great venue for post-exhibition network outings.
Stuttgart Airport has direct flights to most major UK and European cities – including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
One of the main reasons that Messe Stuttgart is so popular with exhibitors across Europe is its location right next door to the city’s international airport. The venue organisers even boast that once your plane lands you are only 355 steps from the exhibition centre – not that you necessarily have to walk all of those steps.
If you’re taking the car, travel into Stuttgart on the A8 autobahn, in either direction, or you’ll have no trouble missing the venue. One of the most eye-catching features of Stuttgart Messe is its huge car park which spans this autobahn. The car park has 4200 parking spaces on five stories. The postcode for your sat nav is: 70629.
Visitors to Messe Stuttgart benefit from the city’s links to central Europe’s high-speed ICE rail network. There are direct connections to the city from many major European cities. The train journey from Paris, which can be easily reached by Eurostar from London, takes just three hours.
The exhibition venue is easy to reach from Stuttgart’s main train station, with direct local S-Bahn trains only taking 27 minutes.
Founded in 1940, Messe Stuttgart has gone on to become one of the biggest expo centres in Germany.
For the first 50 years, Messe Stuttgart was based in the Killesberg area in north Stuttgart. But as nearby housing estates started to clog up the exhibition centre’s roads and parking, the old venue was closed down to allow for new housing projects in the city.
In 2007, Messe Stuttgart moved to its current, and much more convenient, site right next to Stuttgart Airport.
The first thing most visitors will encounter if they are driving to the venue is Messe Stuttgart’s huge and impressive car park bridge which spans the A8 autobahn.
Display rights for both sides of the bridge were sold to Bosch in the same year the venue opened. The Bosch logo on the bridge is the second-largest illuminated sign in the world and the biggest logo after the unlit Hollywood sign.
