Exhibition stand design and build services at The Old Billingsgate, London and venues throughout UK and London.
Old Billingsgate is one of London’s premium venues located on the north bank of the River Thames. It boasts amazing, unrivalled views of London’s top attractions such as Tower Bridge, The Shard and City Hall.
The venue is made up of three spaces and an outdoor terrace area. The Grand Hall is the largest area at 47,000 square feet. Its triple height ceiling and mezzanine area make it an ideal location to host exhibitions and trade shows.
As well as The Grand Hall, Old Billingsgate has a smaller (10,000 square feet) space called The Gallery which can be used to expand an event or host a smaller show.
This venues hidden gem is The Vault – an underground basement space with exposed brickwork, vaulted ceiling and a unique history. Its atmosphere offers a great contrast from The Grand Hall.
You can reach Old Billingsgate by tube, rail, boat, road and air. The venue doesn’t have a car park however there are several ‘pay and display’ car parks within walking distance such as:
Old Billingsgate is within London’s congestion charge zone which applies between 7 am and 6.30 pm.
The nearest train stations are Cannon Street, London Bridge and Fenchurch Street. These stations are located within a ten minute walk to the venue. You could also use the underground and ride the tube to Monument, located just five minutes from Old Billingsgate.
Visitors from overseas can use the Eurostar to travel to London or fly into any of London’s four international airports and follow the directions above.
Old Billingsgate was once as a world-famous fish market. In fact it was operating as a fish market up until 1982. The main venue space, The Grand Hall, would be full of market stalls and fisherman offering the catch of the day.
The basement of Old Billingsgate, now The Vault, was treated as a giant freezer. Over 50 years of ice covered the space to enable the fisherman to store their products safely.
Today it has transformed into a versatile events venue, offering unrivalled views of some of London’s key attractions. Although the smell of fish might be gone, the history and architecture remains. Old Billingsgate is a Victorian Grade II listed building.
