MACH 2026, the UK’s leading exhibition for cutting-edge technology, just took place at the NEC Birmingham, and our team were lucky enough to attend!
With over 26,000 attendees and 600 exhibitors, MACH is the platform for connecting engineers, decision-makers, and innovators in the world of manufacturing. The show keeps the industry alive as industry leaders gather under one roof to discuss and secure the deals that streamline, power and enhance the UK’s assembly lines.
We had a fantastic time, discovering what makes MACH so valuable. In this article, we reflect on some of the exclusive insights and feedback from exhibitors at the event.

Is MACH a valuable show?
We were able to speak with four of our lovely clients at MACH. Some were new to the show, while others are loyal names on the exhibitor list. Each had nothing but good things to say.
From the valuable networking opportunities, education and product discovery, to leads generated and deals acquired, each of our clients felt that the event was not only worthwhile for business, but also crucial for community-building in the manufacturing industry.
It is where the whole manufacturing community comes together. It is not just about meeting customers, it is also about seeing the technology and the products that are available to us, and showing people what we do as well.
Rachel Fehily, RHS FansYou've got a wonderful audience, and a wonderful spread across the industry here... It's been very busy, we've been running flat out all day.

What Makes It Valuable?
Let’s explore what makes MACH such a landmark event in the manufacturing calendar.
Education, Discovery & Innovation
One of the most notable insights from our discussions with this year’s attendees is that MACH is a central hub for innovation within the industry.
It’s a good indicator of a show’s influence and momentum when businesses choose to save product launches for the event. This was clearly evident at MACH, and it brought real energy and excitement to the show as industry players experienced a first look at the cutting-edge technology about to flood the market.
Many of the exhibitors we talked to noted that, because of the show’s value, they had made it a priority to take time to explore the event, learn about the products and tech, and attend the insightful seminars.
It's a very good representation of the state of the industry, and where it's going. It highlights all of the big players, and where the new innovations are coming from.
Charlie Allen, Machine Tool TechnologiesThe technology is changing so quickly, obviously the introduction of robotics and AI, and you can see that here, all the things that are available to manufacturers. What is available to manufacturers is on such a rapid growth here, that it's really exciting to see.

Networking Opportunities
Exhibitors also emphasised the importance of networking at the show, with multiple clients mentioning that they made it a priority to speak with as many people as possible, expanding their network and connections within the industry, and learning along the way.
Lead Generation & Sales
Our clients also praised the lead generation opportunities at the event, with some claiming they had found customers for life!
With Floyd Automatic Tooling, we have people literally bringing components onto the stand saying how do I machine this. You've literally got customers for life after that.
Paul Lynch, Floyd Automatic Tooling (Helix Tools)Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. We've had some incredible leads, it's lifting our brand profile as well.
Rachel Fehily, RHS FansWe've got a very good problem of how we're going to fulfil all of the demand coming in by the sounds of it.

How to Make the Most of MACH?
As well as exploring the value of MACH, Maggie also asked exhibitors what advice they would give for those looking to make the most of the event. They said:
Talk to everybody! Talk to everybody about everything, go to the seminars, see what people are interested in. Talking, making those connections and getting to know the products that are on offer.
Rachel Fehily, RHS FansTalk to people, go and see things, if anyone has got anything on display, talk to them, you never know what you might find.

The Importance of Presentation at MACH
A good indication of a show’s value is the amount of budget exhibitors invest in their representation. It was clear to us and businesses that exhibitors were investing more into their exhibition stand designs at this year’s event.
The show is bigger than I expected, and you can certainly see that exhibitors have invested a lot in their stands.
Paul Lynch, Floyd Automatic Tooling (Helix Tools)Here’s what our lovely clients had to say about their exhibition stand designs.
I think we have had a real presence here; I know some of our competition have been coming and having a look and that's nice to see! When people come over and say how impressive the stand is and that you're presenting yourself well - I think that is really important.
Rachel Fehily, RHS FansWe've had many comments of the photo-floor. It was even used for a timelapse step for some filming opportunities. The quick and ease of everything and how it's all been working with Quadrant, made my first time very easy.
Charlie Allen, Machine Tool TechnologiesToday was really really busy, so, really pleased with the activity on the stand!
Paul Lynch, Floyd Automatic Tooling (Helix Tools)Glowing Reviews from Our Clients
Alongside the feedback received in our interviews, we have also received glowing reviews from our clients, following their success at the event.
One, in particular, from the team at Rainford Precision, stood out:
“Everything ran smoothly, and the stand looked exactly as we had envisioned.
The service from Quadrant2Design has consistently been excellent. From the outset, organising our presence at MACH 2026, including the development of a new stand design, was a smooth and stress-free process. The team made everything feel straightforward and well-managed, which made a real difference given the scale of the event.
Communication throughout was exactly what you would hope for. Clear, timely, and proactive. I particularly valued the structured meetings to review timelines and expectations, as these helped keep everything on track and ensured full visibility at every stage. It made the whole process easy to follow and gave confidence that nothing was being overlooked.
Even when a few minor challenges arose, the Quadrant2Design team were quick to respond and went above and beyond to support us, ensuring everything stayed on course. Their flexibility and commitment to finding solutions really stood out.
The end result was a fantastic MACH stand that we were extremely pleased with. It looked professional, engaging, and truly reflected our brand. I would have no hesitation in recommending Quadrant2Design.”
A Wrap on MACH 2026
It was great to hear directly from our clients at MACH 2026 about how successful the platform has proven to be.
The manufacturing industry has faced ongoing challenges over recent years, with rising steel prices, regulatory changes, trade barriers and general economic fluctuations. Amidst these challenges, MACH has become more than just a space to share products; it’s a display of resilience among manufacturers and a hub to unite and foster the community, which was really great to see.
