This week marks one year since we started our Today in Pre-Build Series! So today, I am here with my team, looking back over nearly 50 films we have made so far.
Why do We Make The Today in Pre-Build Films?
Firstly, I want to explain why we make these films. The 100% pre-build guarantee is completely unique to Quadrant2Design and is an integral part of what we do. By sharing and documenting this process, we hope to show you why this step is so important and why we believe it is reckless for an exhibition stand contractor to not pre-build an exhibition stand.
Why is Pre-Build Important?
With other contractors, the first time you will ever see your exhibition stand in person is at the show. By this point, if there are any issues with the build, or if something is not as expected, there is nothing you can do about it. At Quadrant2Design, we simply will not take this risk with your stand.
Every stand is pre-built, before every exhibition, and clients are always invited to attend. It is our ultimate quality check, offering an invaluable opportunity for us and our clients to check that everything is perfect. This means that if there is an issue, which is rare, we have plenty of time to rectify it, before the event.
This year, we have seen wonderful clients like Modulus, Fire Chief and Yamato come to thoroughly check the quality of their stand, and we’ve also seen our Project Management team give virtual tours to clients unable to visit in person.
Using Pre-Build as a Dress Rehearsal
Some of the best moments for me were the dress rehearsals. Clients like Harrier Trail Running, ASAP Supplies, LKQ Leisure and Marine, and Cheatwell Games have brought their products into our showroom and used the pre-build as a full dress rehearsal!
Harrier Trail Running brought in their walking poles, backpacks and running gear, testing the placement of their bespoke wall mounts. Cheatwell Games benefited from trialling the placement of the games and display types before show day. On another memorable visit, LQK Leisure and Marine had a unique experience with their exhibition stand. Our design teams reconfigured their stands combining 3 into one, on budget, with a large amount of heavy, and integrated product display.
The feedback we receive from clients, and how beneficial this has been, makes the whole pre-build experience worth it.
The Highlights
Though my favourite part of pre-build will always be meeting the clients, hearing their stories and seeing their projects come to life, I have to admit that I also had a lot of fun with the installers and the marketing team. I really loved Prank in Pre-Build, Maggie’s Training Day, and Answering Popular Questions on Sandbanks Beach!
Closing Thoughts
By bringing cameras into our print and manufacturing areas, we can show our in-house production process, introduce our skilled team, and highlight the effort and attention to detail that goes into every project. This means that our exhibition stands are consistently finished on time and meet the required brief.
I am very proud to be a part of the team that designs, pre-builds and installs over 500 exhibition stands every year, and we continue to innovate with new features and design elements. I also feel very proud to be working on such a beneficial and collaborative series, and I cannot wait to see existing customers and meet the new customers of 2025!
