Exhibition Stand Design at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics

On the 3rd of February, Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2026 took place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. This year’s show was recorded as their best-attended event in its 29 year history with big names like Yamazaki Mazak, XYZ Machine Tools, HAAS Automation and many more making an appearance. With 10,277 attendees and 571 exhibitors, a 5.6% increase on last year, the show solidified its position as a key event for the UK’s manufacturing and engineering community.  

Trade shows like Southern Manufacturing and Electronics or Smart Manufacturing are great places for new companies trying to increase brand awareness and for well-established firms to highlight their innovations, have face-to-face contact with clients and leads, and share important industry insights. 

Stand appearance at shows matter, it could be the difference between a successful, busy show and “one that seems like a waste of time and money”. In this article we’ll talk through some of the feature filled Quadrant2Design stands that attended Southern Manufacturing and Electronics this year. 

Electronic Technicians are a returning client of Quadrant2Design having exhibited with us since 2023 at Southern Manufacturing.  

Their stand, a bold black and red 6m x 3m peninsula exhibition stand, features high-level branding, illuminated lockable showcases for product display, backlit features, a custom branded counter, illuminated showcases for product display and a Quadrant2Design photo-floor. 

The colour scheme of the stand makes for a striking and attention grabbing visual, the addition of the high-level branding gives them visibility over competitors allowing them to be seen from far.  

The illuminated lockable showcases allow for their products to be displayed in a secure, brightly lit up area.  The Prestige Events System is unique in being able to create showcases that are both 100% custom branded, available to hire and reusable!  

Mycronic, much like Electronic Technicians, have been exhibiting with us since 2023.  

Their stand, an open 6m x 5m island exhibition stand, features high-level branding, illuminated showcases for literature display, AV display, a walkthrough feature, storage area and a Quadrant2Design photo-floor. 

Mycronic make use of their photo-floor, not only to complete their design but also as a product display, allowing them to make full use of their space. The dark colour scheme of the high-level branding completes a unified look for their brand. 

Their storage area enables them to hide away extra products or personal items to keep a presentable stand throughout the show. 

Jauch Quartz’s stand, a 4m x 3m corner exhibition stand, features high-level branding, a backlit rotating header, AV display, illuminated showcases, branded counter with integrated showcase, backlit icons, storage area and a Quadrant2Design photo-floor. 

Their backlit rotating header adds movement to their stand, drawing the eye and driving interest from across the event hall. This also creates a point of difference against competitors. 

The illuminated showcases help display their products keeping them lit and visible, drawing attention directly to what’s important.  

Although on the smaller side, the features incorporated in this stand make it feel open and spacious, plus it’s practical with storage to keep it decluttered.

Southern Springs and Pressings have been exhibiting with us since 2019. 

Their first stand with us included features like high-level branding, illuminated showcases, AV display, storage area and custom branded counters. This reconfiguration retains high-level branding, a storage area and custom counters.  

This change allowed them to display more of their product images across their stand, allowing it to act as a background for their face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients. 

The branded counters overcome threshold barriers and act as a first point of contact for meetings.  Additionally, the open shelving behind the counters allows them to keep materials near them, at arms reach, without having a cluttered space. 

AFC Europe, formally TFC Europe, have redesigned their stand for this year’s events, making it more open and brighter.  

Their 5m x 3m corner exhibition stand includes features like high-level branding, illuminated endcap product display, a branded counter, storage area and a Quadrant2Design photo-floor. 

The Quadrant2Design photo-floor enables them to have a cohesive space, bringing branding all the way down to the floor, turning it from a normal shell scheme space to a professional meeting area.
