The creative use of lighting can be overlooked in exhibition stand design, but with effective use, it can play a fundamental part in making a stand eye-catching and memorable. With the right lighting, a stand will entice potential customers to browse, speak, and network with a business.
Our modular Prestige Events System can incorporate a variety of lighting solutions that make displays the most attractive, inviting, and impressive at an event. Allow us to illuminate you with several of our available options.
LED Spotlights
Good lighting is essential for any exhibition stand. LED spotlights are a fundamental part of the design and infrastructure. Positioned on top of the framework, these lights shine down across the stand. They use low wattage, complying with the restrictions of venues. They are simple but exceptionally durable. Every one of our stands features LED spotlights.

Fret-cut Backlit Silhouettes
Customisable fret-cut, backlit silhouette features add interest and detail to the stand. Backlit silhouettes are elaborately shaped incisions made in the graphics. Lighting is then inserted into the framework to shine through the shapes. We make these precise designs using the Zund cutting technology and software found within our in-house facilities.
Fully customisable, intricate, and illuminated, these backlit silhouettes can be used to attract a customer’s attention at a show, especially through their subtlety, allowing visitors to notice them from afar. They look particularly good on high-level branding, allowing the stand to be both tall and attractive!

Backlit Panel
Backlit panels can bring a lot of character to your stand. Texts, branding, logos, photography, artwork, and messaging can all be backlit, achieved when lighting is placed within the framework, shining through translucent material.
Unlike fabric displays with lightboxes, where the light distorts neighbouring panels, we can illuminate specific areas on the stand to draw attention. They can be custom-shaped, differ in size, and integrated with large-format graphics, allowing for a wide range of creative display options.

Backlit Icons
Backlit icons can be used to highlight key marketing messages, enlarging and illuminating them in a standout format. They are lit by LED strip ladders that are suspended from the top of the stand’s framework, hidden behind the graphics. Backlit icons can be placed anywhere on a stand, being simple but effective features.

Edge-lit Acrylics
One of our most popular and attention-grabbing features is edge-lit acrylics. These high-quality acrylic displays, once illuminated, create a luxurious illusion of a floating graphic. The acrylic can be engraved with a company logo or other imagery, lit up within a darker backdrop. The graphics are created using our in-house, state-of-the-art laser cutter, then lit up with low-wattage LEDs.
This is then brought to life using an LED colour wheel, made up of RGB lighting, wrapped around the edge of the acrylic feature. This allows the user to illuminate their branding with multiple colour choices. The lights can be programmed to cycle through multiple colours at set speeds and times, or set to just one. The edge-lit acrylics can be positioned in the stand’s walls, pillars, counters and even showcases.

Backlit Rotating Header
Another excellent way to draw attention is with a rotating header. Like a beacon in a sea of exhibition stands, a rotating header is a branded and fully customisable sign perched atop the stand that adds dynamism to an otherwise static hall. This makes the stand instantly recognisable on the show floor, especially if visitors are already searching for a specific exhibitor in attendance. The header is illuminated by an LED lightbox placed inside. Alternatively, the rotating header can be used without additional lighting.
The high level of the rotating header and branding allows the stand to be seen across an exhibition hall from all angles. It provides a sense of vitality and engagement for visitors and exhibitors alike.
Illuminated Showcases
Effective product display is crucial for sales and visitor engagement. On our stands, this can be achieved with the use of showcases. These can be integrated into the design of your stand to display products perfectly. Our showcases can be illuminated with back lighting, down lighting, edge lighting, or an underlit base, to project their importance and show off products. Custom-printed slatwalls can further articulate a stand’s design and presence. We have a variety of product mountings, like shelving, forward display arms, hooks, display rings, and stepped rails. Additionally, the showcase appertures can be custom-cut to various shapes and sizes, creating the illusion of floating products.
Illuminated Endcap Showcases
Endcap showcases are shelved showcases built into the curved end of an exhibition stand. Perfect for grabbing the attention of passersby, they can display products, samples, or giveaways. They can also display literature, like company brochures or leaflets. Endcap showcases can be very stylistic in their design, using hidden spotlights to garner attention and highlight the products on display.

Illuminated Canopy
Stand designs can incorporate canopies, which connect elements of the stand with beautiful walkways, elevated with lighting. Canopies can feature fret-cut lighting, similar to the backlit silhouettes. They conceal cables and electrics, preventing the need for an expensive raised floor, and create a more inviting and dynamic final look, rather than a flat display.
Counters
The first point of contact for an exhibition stand can be a counter or plinth. Positioned at the front or sides of the stand, counters foster engagement between visitors and exhibitors. These counters can be designed and built in a range of sizes and configurations, featuring seamless graphics that wrap around the whole structure. Custom-cut showcases can be built within the counter to display products or literature, whilst the interior can double as a storage area.
Printed countertops can be built on top, displaying a company’s name, logo, products, and key information (websites or QR codes). Much like edge-lit acrylics, LED colour downlighting can be wrapped around the base of the countertop, offering the use of a synchronised light display to add further character to the stand.
The Benefits of Sustainable Lighting
As all of our lighting options are LED-based, they are a very efficient and sustainable choice for an exhibition stand. They also use low wattage in venues, keeping the costs down. LED lights are more environmentally friendly than others, lasting much longer, and use significantly less energy than standard light bulbs.
Our design consultants and 3D design team are experts in exhibition lighting design, using their knowledge, skills, and experience to present the best, most innovative and creative, reusable stands imaginable.
