Quadrant2Design donates five new banners to Diverse Abilities

Founded in 1955 by Phyllis Edwards, a local mother whose daughter has cerebral palsy, Diverse Abilities has developed over the past 60 years from a small group of families who met through Phyllis’ first newspaper advert, to a charity that encompasses care and support for over 600 children and adults. The charity provides a range of services including; a special school for children aged two – 19, a respite home for children, a well-equipped day centre, where adults can learn new skills and enjoy a wide range of experiences, a supported living service helping adults live independently in their own home with 24/7 support, home support for children plus after school and holiday activities for children with disabilities and their siblings.

Diverse Abilities needs to raise £600,000, each year, to maintain and keep offering all of the services and amenities they provide to those across Dorset. This year the charity also aim to raise an additional £250,000 to help carry out the much-needed refurbishment of the charity’s respite home.

To help raise both awareness and funds for the charity, local exhibition stand-contractors, Quadrant2Design, have donated five custom banners to the charity. These portable banners which depict both adults and children connected to the charity enjoying the opportunities provided by the organisation, will be used at events across the county.
