A few weeks ago, we were joined by the wonderful Skillbond team, as they viewed their exhibition stand for the very first time, ahead of the British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show.
Before Quadrant2Design, Skillbond had always used custom-build exhibition stands. In this week’s video, John Kelly, Design, Social Media & Marketing Manager at Skillbond, discusses the move to modular and praises the quality and design of the new exhibition stand. Follow along for all the details!

British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show
The British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show is the UK’s largest event for dental professionals, uniting over 10,000 dental professionals, 400 brands and 200 world-renowned speakers!

Making the Modular Shift
Skillbond’s visit was particularly exciting as this exhibition stand marked the start of a sustainable shift. The company had previously used custom-builds which are single-use and very expensive.
For a two-day event, traditional, custom-build stand builders are really expensive, so we wanted to try something different!
John KellyThis exhibition stand differs from its one-use counterpart, as it is completely reusable and can be reconfigured to a wide range of different stand spaces and sizes, making it a genuine sustainable option for exhibitors.
From a perspective of being more eco-friendly, Quadrant was the natural choice. We will definitely be using the stand over and over and that was part of the appeal.
It is such a dreadful shame and a waste when you see all that stand that's going to go into landfill.
The Exhibition Stand Design
The Skillbond team was thrilled with their new exhibition stand, and really enjoyed seeing it in person before the show.
When you work with Quadrant2Design, you can opt for our in-house graphic designers or supply your own artwork! John has a strong background in graphic design and handled Skillbond’s artwork. It is always surreal seeing the stand for the first time, but this feeling is certainly magnified when it’s your own creativity printed in large format.
John shared his first impressions in the video –
I am amazed by how good it looks. When you come and see something like this from an A3 print out or computer screen, it's quite amazing. I knew it would be, but just to see it in person is fantastic and it's really nice to be invited to a pre-build to see it before it goes live.

The Support from Quadrant2Design
One of the most rewarding parts of this pre-build visit was hearing John’s feedback about his experience working with Quadrant2Design. John was very complimentary about the service and support he received from the concept stage to the pre-build.
We were first in touch with Tracey, who had a very nice personality and was very good at reassuring us. Communication was really good.
We had some requests and you know, nothing was too much to ask, and we have been quite demanding at times. You've always come back and said yes we can do that. You're not saying that's impractical or anything like that. It's always been possible. Project Managers answered any little query that I need and even sorted bespoke shelving for me. She just got it done for me!
Looking Forwards | The Dentistry Show 2025
Since the pre-build visit, Skillbond has successfully attended their first show using their Quadrant2Design exhibition stand.
The stand looked brilliant, complete with its vibrant orange photo-floor, and the team were very pleased with their turnout! Now that the show has come to a close, Skillbond is exploring future reconfigurations for their colourful exhibition stand.
It has been wonderful to work with Skillbond on this project, meeting their sustainability goals, budgets and exhibition stand vision!
