Creative Craft Show | Exhibition Stands

The Creative Craft Show has grown into one of the UK’s biggest craft meets. It’s a friendly and fun show with fantastic shopping opportunities, demonstrations galore and over 100 hours of hands on workshops.

I went along to see Santa, our client Gemporia Craft and maybe start my Christmas shopping!

Crafting is more than a hobby when it comes to exhibiting at a show like this. The UK craft market contributes £3.4bn to the UK economy each year. Gemporia Craft are at the heart of this thriving industry.

Gemporia Craft operate three TV channels; Sewing Street, Hobby Maker and Jewellery Maker. All the channels have associated ecommerce concerns.

Gemporia Craft wanted to break out from the confines of shell scheme stands and create a space that matched their brand’s presence in the market.

• Create a stand that offers customers a journey through all that Gemporia Craft has to offer
• Seamlessly incorporate all the brands or channels onto one stand
• Include spaces for activations that have previously worked like a tombola and demo area
• Product showcases for popular items and giveaways
• Make a statement in the exhibition hall
• The graphic design should allow for some panels to be swapped or replaced from show to show

Designing for reuse and reconfiguration is in the Quadrant2Design team’s DNA. Gemporia Craft are exhibiting across a calendar of craft events around the UK in 2024, each time their stand will occupy a new space. The Gemporia Craft team’s artistic eye and Quadrant2Design’s experience brought these features and methods together to create a sharp looking but functional exhibition stand.

When I caught up with the Gemporia Craft team at The Creative Craft Show they were keen to thank their Project Manager Katalin. Katalin even popped along to the exhibition to see how the stand turned out.

Quadrant2Design are a full-service exhibition stand design and build contractor. Beyond this, no part of the development or build of an exhibition stand is subcontracted out – everything is done in house. This includes Project Management.

Gemporia Craft made themselves the anchor tenant at The Creative Craft Show by coming away from a traditional shell-scheme space and opening themselves up to room. The island stand design lent itself perfectly to their mission to create a journey through the strands of Gemporia Craft’s business, products and TV channels.

The whole team at Quadrant2Design enjoyed working with the creative team at Gemporia Craft and we’re now looking forward to reconfiguring and developing the stand for more shows, fairs and exhibitions.
