Brilliant Exhibition Stands at Packaging Innovations & Empack

Packaging Innovations & Empack had a very successful few days at the NEC Birmingham. The show, which took place in February, united key buyers and suppliers from the packaging industry.

This was a record-breaking year for Packaging Innovations & Empack, with 8021 unique visitors, a 8% increase to last year’s, and talks about expanding to 2 more halls at the NEC for the 2027 edition of the show.

Competition at this show is fierce, with over 500 exhibitors each year. We had seven brilliant exhibitors at the show, and we ensured each stood out from the crowds, with an outstanding, bespoke design.

Quadrant2Design is very familiar with the intricacies of exhibition stand design for packaging shows, having supported and worked closely with many packaging industry experts over the last two decades to perfect their in-person presence.

In any industry, it is crucial for the exhibition stand to capture and convey the brand’s personality and capabilities. However, for packaging companies, that design, print and produce their own solutions, exhibition stand design plays an even more complex and significant role. At in-person events, visitors often assess a company’s quality based on its exhibition stand. Since attendees expect packaging companies to have a keen eye for print and production quality, it is crucial for the exhibition stand to be particularly impressive.

Impressive design and finish quality are not the only important factors when exhibiting in the packaging industry; the stands must also be sustainable. First up was EOS Packaging, with a fantastic monochrome exhibition stand. EOS supplies companies with sustainable glass containers and sealing solutions for bottles and jars.

This exhibition stand perfectly encapsulated the EOS Packaging brand, with its various green bottle notes and pops of colour in the showcases. The stand also incorporated a backlit graphic, which illuminates the logo for a unique, memorable effect.

Just across the hall, Harman Ambalaj stood proudly with a bold and dynamic exhibition stand! Harman is an expert in print and packaging, with over 30 years of experience. The company runs its operations in Istanbul, Turkey, where it produces a wide range of packaging solutions for takeaway products, baking moulds, fruit and vegetables, confectionery, textiles, and chocolate, alongside many others.

With such a wide range of solutions, showcasing was important to this stand design. Custom lighting from above and below ensured the products were the star of the show, and a towerfix provided additional showcasing at the front of the stand. Visitors particularly enjoy the towerfix feature as it adds unique showcasing space with lighting.

This display also includes high-level level branding on both sides to guarantee visibility throughout the hall.

Packaging Mode also arrived at the show with an outstanding exhibition stand. The company specialises in food-friendly, tamper-evident, In Mould Labelled printed pots!

Packaging Mode has been working with Quadrant2Design since 2022, making the most of its reusable, reconfigurable stand. This exhibition stand design is unmissable with its vibrant colour scheme, brilliant custom-cut showcases and unique product showcasing.

IIC stands for Innovative, Individual, and Creative packaging solutions. Following its name, it was essential for IIC Packaging to stand out and make a strong impression at the event. They achieved this with eye-catching high-level branding and a bold rotating header, that ensured visibility. Additional showcases on the stand feature blue backdrop panels and lighting to make packaging and print-quality pop.

St. Johns Packaging, a new client of Quadrant2Design, is a vertically-integrated manufacturer providing high quality packaging solutions to 4 different markets; food products, pet food, bakery and personal care.

The reusable exhibition stand perfectly reflects their branding incorporating the attractive white, green and blue colour scheme. The product showcases place the packaging solutions in the best light, drawing people’s attention to what matter most. The addition of the mounted product display, custom-designed for their stand, helps to showcase their wicket bags by placing them in situ.

Swiftpak has been a Quadrant2Design client since 2024, exhibiting with us for the first time at PPMA Total Show 2024. Since then, the team has made full use of our redesign and reconfiguration services, having reconfigured the stand three times, from a 2m x 3m corner stand to a 6m x 4m peninsula stand!

From the graphics to the structure, every element of the stand reinforces their company ethos, mission and commitment to sustainability.

Their stand, a calming green and white colour scheme, perfectly extends their branding from the high-level, allowing them to tower over competitors and be seen from afar, to the Quadrant2Design photo-floor giving them a professional, polished and complete look to showcase their products.

MacPac manufacture high-quality thermoformed sustainable packaging solutions to the Food & Drink, Pharmaceutical, Horticulture, Beauty and Manufacturing markets.

This stand was designed to accommodate and showcase over 15 different solutions while maintaining a clean, tidy and professional look. The illuminated showcases were designed to create an immediate contrast between the graphics and the showcases to bring attention to the products and make them instantly visible to passersby.

Our lovely Videographer and Content Manager, Maggie Clemence, had the pleasure of visiting this show in 2024, where she connected with many of our clients to talk about all things exhibition sustainability.
