This September, I had the pleasure of attending The Bed Show 2025, hosted by the National Bed Federation in Telford. It was my first time visiting the town, and what a lovely introduction it was. The Telford International Centre in itself is an impressive, modern venue perfectly suited to hosting such an exhibition.

Unlike some other exhibitions I’ve attended, The Bed Show was truly unique. It’s not your typical mix of industries, products, and services expo, but instead, it’s entirely dedicated to just one thing – beds! That level of singular focus gives the event a very interesting dynamic.
One of the standout aspects of this exhibition was how interactive it was. Seeing as the main products on show were beds and mattresses, many of the stands were filled with them, all inviting visitors to test, touch, and even lie down! It was quite the sight to see business professionals in suits and heels being encouraged to literally lie down on the job. There’s something incredibly light-hearted about that, and it created a relaxed, friendly energy throughout the exhibition. You could tell that exhibitors and visitors alike were enjoying the chance to experience products in such a direct way.
For me, that sense of fun is what makes an exhibition truly memorable. While they’re an essential part of business networking and industry growth, I also believe they should be enjoyable and engaging. My colleague Maggie and I decided to embrace that philosophy to the fullest at The Bed Show this year by filming a segment entirely in our pyjamas! It was our way of bringing a bit of that Quadrant2Design creativity to the event.
Collaborating with Relyon Beds
Our client, Relyon Beds, loved the idea, and so did the visitors! As we wandered around in our matching PJs, chatting to exhibitors and filming content, we were met with lots smiles and curiosity. Several other exhibitors even tried inviting us onto their stands to film with them as well, turning out to be a great way to connect with people within the industry.
Of course, I’d like to think our antics helped draw a bit of extra attention to Relyon’s beautifully designed and built stand, but they were already incredibly busy thanks to their amazing stand which highlighted their award-winning products.

As for Maggie and me, we’re already planning our next adventure! We travel all over the UK visiting a range of exhibitions and working with our clients to showcase the fun and innovative design side of what we do at Quadrant2Design. Who knows what creative (or slightly silly) ideas we’ll come up with next!
